"The mediocre teacher tells, the good teacher explains,
the superior teacher demonstrates, the great teacher inspires". Ms Lim has
not only been an inspiring but knowledgeable teacher to myself. She never fails
to answer all of our queries and teach us the appropriate way to learn and
tackle examination questions. But more importantly, aside from being a
wonderful teacher to us, she is also a role model, a mentor and a friend to her
students. She would always put the interests of her students before that of
hers. The lessons she has taught us are not merely on our studies but she would
tell us life stories and life lessons from time to time. What defines an
individual is not purely on his academics but his character as well. It is not
one's aptitude but one's attitude that determines one attitude. That being
said, having Ms Lim teach us is definitely enriching and educational. Her
lessons would allow one to soar academically as long as one works with her but
it would also help shape one to become man of character and virtue, benefitting
us in the future as well and become catalysts for change in our society.
